INTRODUCTION OF A CREATIVE THERAPY AT SSC.
Creative Therapy is a new subject to Indian Educational system. But we are fortunate enough to have a creative therapist Ms. ARLETTE REIJNEN from May 2008 to August 2008. She has stayed at SSC guest room and given therapy to the slow learner group students of our WILLY’S INTEGRATED PRIMARY SCHOOL AND WILLY’S INTEGRATED HIGH SCHOOL through her learned art. It is very helpful to our student and showed a way how to improve the slow learner group. Our school is located in the educationally backward area and so 40% of the total strength of the school is likely to be slow learners in one way or other. Our Teachers has got training from MS. ARLETTE REIJNEN, Creative Therapist and know how to treat the slow learner group of students.
It is important milestone of SSC’s aims that the creative therapy introduced by ”STICHTING MARIAMMA” has leads to start a Special School for the Special Children who are Mentally ill, Mentally Depressed, Mentally Retarded, Autism, Cerebral Palsy with Mental Retardation salary for one Special Educator for Mentally Challenged Children in the year 2008 sponsored by “STICHTING MARIAMMA”.
Ms. ARLETTE REIJNEN, Creative Therapist encourage our Special Educator and Parent of the children and so the output of the Mentally challenged students is good in quality. Therefore, many parents of mentally challenged children approached our SSC for help. In the middle in 2008, the strength has been increasing steadily and Now 25 students are studying in the special school for mentally challenged. On our request one more special educator for these children of God and the same is sanctioned by the “stichting mariamma” for the year 2009. The following are the children of God who are studying in our special school.
